My mate @shaybacko and I just got back from a road trip down to Victoria. We ventured down in my little GTS86 – packed to the brim – and hit up a whole bunch of places I’ve been wanting to visit for awhile now.
I’m gonna split up the blog posts in days, because otherwise it’ll just be a massive shitpost with a whole bunch of stuff.
Follow me on Instagram if you haven’t already!
A 9 hour drive is a bit intense to do in one go (although we did it on the way back), so we decided to visit a few places on the way and camp as we went along.
The first place we decided to visit was…
Penrose State Forest
Originally the intention was to go there and catch some sun rays in between the massive pine trees there, but as we started to approach the forest, we started to notice fog!
We got there at a great time, it was fairly foggy, which gave us the chance for some very moody shots.
Oh, and randomly, we bumped into Mr Itchban himself who happened to be doing an engagement shoot! Random!
Sugar Pine Walk – Laurel Hill
This was a big one on the list for me. Ever since I got into photography, I’ve been seeing amazing pictures of this place. Not really knowing what to expect, we arrived to an amazing pathway surrounded by massive pines.
It was early afternoon by the time we got there and we knew we had to camp somewhere at night, so we decided to stay all afternoon and explore the entire Bago forest because… adventure!
The late afternoon rewarded us with some amazing rays of light through the trees, something we played around with a lot.
This place is everything I imagined it to be, and I definitely want to go back! Possibly in the Winter where it’s covered in amazing snow 😀
Really not sure what kind of edit I was going for here… Haha.
Oh, and then we camped at a rest stop on the side of the highway on the way to The Black Spur. Yeah, it was as rough as it sounds. Managed to get this astro shot, though! Ha.
